The main tourist magnet of this hiking trail is probably Palupõhja – a quiet secluded place by the Emajõgi River. Starting off from the Emajõgi River in Kärevere, you will be riding to Laeva along a pleasantly winding gravel road, where you might spot some animals if you're lucky. Ride along paved road for a few kilometres from Laeva to cross the Tartu-Tallinn highway and reach the borders of the Alam-Pedja Nature Reserve.

Another gravel road will lead you to Palupõhja. In addition to the main road, there are also some additional loops through the forests, where you might see some wildlife again. Halfway to Palupõhja, you can relax a bit from cycling and go on a hike on a bog trail.

From Palupõhja you will reach the Emajõgi River, where there is a small village, a high river bank and a scenic view to the river meadow. When riding from Palupõhja to the Reku raft, the road conditions are much harsher. A dead-end road that has turned into nothing more than a track is a challenge for cyclists.

You should start this route at the Kärevere bridge or from Laeva, which can only be reached by car or bicycle.
