Jäneda manor and museum

The exhibition rooms of the museum are situated in the main building of Jäneda manor and present material about the history of the village and the last owners of the estate, the von Benckendorffs. The museum played a key role in preserving the history of Estonia’s first agricultural school.
A guide will provide you with a comprehensive overview of the 5000-year history of Jäneda. You can also listen to stories about the famous and interesting people associated with the area, and visit the Urmas Sisask music observatory. The short walk up Jäneda hill and to the shore of Lake Kalijärve are also of interest.
